30 ships with petroleum products, food items expected — NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 30 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Dec. 20 to Jan. 8.

The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available in Lagos on Monday.

According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Ports Complex.

It said that the ships contained petrol, base oil, containers, general cargo, steel pipes, bulk sugar, frozen fish, bulk salt and buck wheat.

NPA said that 20 ships had arrived at the ports, waiting to berth with containers and fuel.

Also, the organisation said that 16 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargo, containers, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, petrol, aviation fuel and ammonium.
