He said that Otunba Olusegun Rusenwe, Director General of National Council for Arts and Culture, who donated the first building for the take-off of the school in 2007, would be the chief host at the event.

According to him, Mrs Olufunke Fadugba, the chairperson of JERDA, and past chairmen of the association will be co-hosts at the event.

Journalists’ Estate Phase 1 was conceived in 2004 by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos Council under the Chairmanship of Fadugba.

According to Olori, JIS, which commenced operations five years ago, has graduated learners who are currently in various federal government and private secondary schools.

JIS is a privately owned community school of the estate which prides itself as a brand that gives high quality education service even while serving to meet the needs of children of Journalists and those in the immediate environment.
