2020: Lawmaker urges Nigerians to pray for Nigeria’s peace, development

Rep. Shehu Koko (APC-Kebbi) has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the progress and peaceful coexistence of the country as they celebrate the new year.

In a statement on Wednesday, Koko described the year 2020 as a year of hope and peace for all Nigerians.

Koko said that there was need to begin the year with prayers and supplications for more commitment in the new year and sustenance of achievements made in the previous years.

The lawmaker who represents Koko-Besse/Maiyama Federal Constituency in Kebbi state, assured his constituents of his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development.

“The year 2020 has ushered in a new decade and a new hope for the country, blessed with human and natural resources.

“I look forward to delivering dividends of democracy promised during my campaign especially in the area of infrastructural development.

“I want to use this medium to extend my greetings to Nigerians, the good people of Koko- Besse/Maiyama Federal Constituency as well as my party, the All Progressives Congress,” he said.

Koko, also the Chairman House Committee on Nigerian Air Force (NAF) pledged to discharge his constitutional duties effectively for the development of Nigeria.

The chairman said that the committee would do all within its powers to carryout legislative business to support NAF through its oversight functions.

While wishing all Nigerians a happy new year, he called for continued support for President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to make Nigeria great
