18 ships with petroleum products, food items on board— NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 18 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods on or before Jan. 16.

The NPA made this disclosure in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available in Lagos on Thursday.

According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

The publication stated that the ships contained petrol, containers, general cargo, frozen fish, bulk salt, butane, bulk sugar and bulk wheat.

NPA said that 19 ships had alteady arrived the ports, waiting to berth with containers and fuel.

Also, the organisation said that 20 other ships were already at the ports discharging butane gas, general cargo, containers, bulk wheat, bulk sugar, petrol, and base oil.
