FUOYE to get BOVAS Gas Plant

The Management of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) on Friday said that Bovas Petroleum Distribution Company would establish a gas plant in the university.

The Deputy Director Corporate Service of the university, Mr Adeyinka Ademuyiwa, said this in a statement made available in Oye-Ekiti.

According to the statement, a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations was signed on Nov. 28, 2019 by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Soremekun and the Managing Director of Bovas Petroleum, Mrs Victoria Samson.

The statement added that Prof. Soremekun was delighted with the ‎trend of development that the university was undergoing in his tenure.

He ‎said that he was looking forward to having the gas plant in the university.

The statement,  however, stated that the representative of the Managing Director of Bovas Petroleum, ‎Mr Babajide Olomola, equally assured the management of the university that plans were underway to upgrade the gas plant to include a petrol station.

It also stated that the Vice Chancellor and Director of Administration and Special Duties, Mr Olatunbosun Odusanya signed for the university.

Ademuyiwa added that payment for lease of the university land was  made to the Bursar, Mrs Bolatito Akande, by the Managing Director of Bovas, Mrs Victoria Samson.‎
