Coronavirus: Oando commiserates with victims, families

Oando Group has commiserated with victims and families affected by Coronavirus in Nigeria.

In a statement obtained by TBI Africa, the company stated: “In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to send our heartfelt wishes to you and your family. We urge you to take adequate precautions to protect yourself and loved ones from the virus.

“As you might know, the World Health Organization (WHO) has released basic protective measures against the virus, some of which include, but are not limited to; Washing your hands regularly, Refraining from touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, Practicing respiratory hygiene and Social distancing.”

It stated: “We understand it’s human to panic in the face of a pandemic but it’s more important to take extra measures to stay safe. We urge you to educate those around you on the precautionary measures to adopt through credible authorities such as WHO; the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Health and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“COVID-19 is today a global challenge and we implore you to continue to adhere to updated health advisory and the Lagos state restrictions to curb the spread of the virus. We thank you for your continued support as we look forward to the early containment of this virus.”
