Over 1,000 beneficiaries emerge as firm dispenses free cooking gas to Abians

No fewer than a thousand Abians on Saturday benefitted from free cooking gas program rolled out by Enugu State born, Dr. Basil Ogbuanu, the MD/CEO Second Coming Gas Limited, with Headquarters in Lagos State.


Mr. Ogbuanu had on Friday announced his readiness to offer free gas to 4,375 residents which was estimated at N5.5 million as a measure to cushion the effect of the restriction of movements in Abia imposed by the state government to curtail the spread of coronavirus.

The company,  called Second Coming Gas limited branches in Abia State are located at Lodu Ndume, Ibeku and Mgbaja Ossah Ibeku all in Umuahia North Local Government Area.

Beneficiaries were full of gratitude to the organisation for the gesture.

Members of the COVID-19 Committee and the Commissioner for Information in the state were also on ground to ensure a smooth running of the exercise.


The Abia state governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu had in a release on Friday expressed gratitude to the organisation for the kind gesture.
