A senior lecturer with the Department of Physical and Health Education, Bayero University Kano, Prof Monsuru Lasun Emiola, is dead.
He died on Wednesday night at the university clinic after a brief illness.
A member of staff of the Information and publication unit of the university, Dr Lamara Garba confirmed the death of the deceased to The PUNCH in Kano on Thursday.
He said Emiola, a senior lecturer with the Physical and Health Education Department, was an indigene of Oyo State.
