By Meletus EZE

Nigeria is to strengthen diplomatic ties with the government and people of the Republic of Vanuatu in the area commerce and other relations.

The Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Australia, Amb. Bello Husseini-Kazaure, gave this hint in a statement in Abuja by the Nigerian mission in Australia.

TBI Africa reports that Kasaure gave the assurance after presenting his letter of credence to the President of Vanuatu, Obed Tallis.

The ceremony, which took place at the Vanuatu’s State House, was performed by the country’s Acting President Esmon Saimon on behalf of the president.

Kazaure is the Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Australia with concurrent accreditation to New Zealand, Fiji Island, Independent State of Papua, New Guinea and the Republic of Vanuatu.

The envoy applauded the cordial bilateral relations between Nigeria and Vanuatu, stressing that focus would be on enhancing relations in trade and investments.

He said efforts would be geared towards economic development by attracting investors from the country to Nigeria and vice-versa.
