Nigeria Airways final verification

The Federal Government on Wednesday said that it had commenced the final verification exercise for workers of the defunct Nigeria Airways.

It said this in a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning in Abuja.

The statement said that the finance and aviation ministries would work in conjunction with the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit in carrying out the verification exercise.

It said the genuine claims of ex-employees of the defunct national carrier would be cleared after the exercise.

The Director, PICA, Bashir Mohammed, said the Federal Government was determined to ensure that all former public workers, especially those of liquidated agencies, who had genuine and legitimate claims were settled.
