TBI Africa magazine bags OGTAN’s Local content coverage award

Your favourite news portal – The Business Intelligence Africa (tbiafrica) magazine, has bagged award for its commitment to extensive coverage of local content activities for the year 2020.

The award which was given by the Oil and Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (OGTAN) tagged “Outstanding Media Personality Award” was presented to TBI Africa’s Managing Editor, Emeka Ugwuanyi, at the Association’s 2021 Annual General Meeting and Lecture Series held at Eko Hotel in Lagos this week.

The hybrid event, which had attendees digitally and physically, was well graced by oil and gas industry leaders and operators.

According to the immediate past President of OGTAN, Dr Afe Mayowa and his successor, Mazi Sam Azoka, TBI Africa made significant coverage of Local Content activities and events in the past year 2020 despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayowa and Azoka praised TBI Africa for its outstanding and accurate reportage, noting that with the award, “you have been further challenged for greater performance in the coming years.” The management of the media organization shouldn’t rest on its oars as the reward for good work is more work, they added.

In his response, Ugwuanyi said the award will further spur the management and staff of TBI Africa to work harder, serve the news while hot to its readership digitally and in print. He thanked OGTAN and its leadership for recognizing TBI Africa’s little contribution to national development and promised OGTAN that his organization will not let them (OGTAN), Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, the economy and its readership down.
