AAU Hall of Fame: Delta Deputy Gov, Speaker, others for awards

The Delta State Deputy Governor Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, the State House of Assembly Speaker, RT Honourable Sheriff Obore Vwori have been recommended for the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma at 40 hall of fame.

The recommendation was made by the Chairman of the Warri branch of the AAU Alumni Association, Pastor Joseph Obaro Ikupa recently.

IKUPA disclosed this recently at Ozoro, Delta State during his interaction with our correspondent.

Ikupa who is a Principal lecturer at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, now Delta State University of Science and Technology Ozoro, disclosed that the Ambrose Alli University at 40 years, has reached a milestone in its achievements and is therefore worthy of celebration.

“As part of activities to mark the celebration, some distinguished alumni of the institution will be inducted in its hall of fame. As the Chairman of the Warri chapter, I have recommended the Delta State Deputy Governor, who himself is a member Board of Trustees of the Alumni Association, the Speaker DTHA who has done so much to promote the image of the University and to assist the Alumni Association, especially the Warri chapter to which he belongs in all her activities for induction.

“Other recommendations from the Warri branch includes, Chief Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu, two times Commissioner in Delta State and Chief of staff to the speaker DTHA, Rev Francis Ejiroghene.

“Former Student’s Union Government(SUG) President Edo State university (EDSU), Ekpoma now (AAU Ekpoma) and a member Federal House of representatives, Abuja, who is Chairman of the House committee on electricity as well as chief Vincent Oyibode, Commissioner in Delta State Oil, Mineral, Producing Development Commission (DESOPADEC) “he disclosed.

He stressed that the Alumni recommendation is due to their diligence and support for the Alumni Association and by extension the university generally.

Ikupa added that other distinguished Alumni to be honour include Ama Etuwswe (SAN) and John Aikpokpo Martins Esq who is the first Vice President Nigeria Bar Association National.
