Increase tuition to N14m, Reps tell aviation college

The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has demanded an increment in the N7.5m being charged by the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria as school fees, to N14m.

The committee argued that the fees should be increased considering the fact that its competitor in Ilorin, Kwara State, charges N22.5m.

The panel held an interactive session on the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper with the college authorities on Thursday.

The Head of Quality Assurance of the College, Ibrahim Hirse, gave a presentation before the committee.

He said the college was unable to increase the fees of the college because the government wanted to allow the masses to attend the school.
