The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Mudashiru Obasa, has urged Nigerians to be thankful to God for His grace despite the economic challenges in the country.
Obasa made this known during an end of the year thanksgiving and Christmas outreach programme organised for staff of the Lagos Assembly at the complex on Friday.
The theme for this year programme is ‘Abundance of Grace’
The speaker said it was only the grace of God that had kept the country and Nigerians till December 2021 despite the many challenges the nation and her citizens had to face within the year.
Obasa said the House also had every reason to thank God for the year because of the successes it recorded in legislative activities.
“The Lagos Assembly has recorded success in the passage of bills, motions and resolutions that are meant to improve living, peace and happiness among the residents of the state.
“I will sing praises because together with my colleagues, members of staff of this assembly and my team at the Office of the Speaker, we have recorded huge achievement,” he said.
Obasa said the Bible is replete with verses emphasising the grace of God upon individuals, which makes them victorious each time they had to face challenges of life.
