NAF will deny bandits freedom to operate, says CAS

Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Isiyaka Oladayo Amao, has said the service will deny bandits the freedom to operate in the Northwest to enhance productivity.

Amao, who spoke at a Christmas lunch with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Katsina, said the service would sustain the synergy with sister agencies to contain the current security challenges facing the country.

Represented by Air officer Commanding Special Operations Command, Air Vice Marshal Jack A. Yusuf, the CAS hailed the troops for their relentless commitment in the fight against banditry in the region.

He said: “The lunch was organised to promote comradeship and regimentation in the service and remember officers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty.”

The Air Component Commander Operation Hadarin Daji expressed appreciation to the CAS for providing the needs for the operation.

He said the troops remained totally loyal and fully committed to the air force management at focusing on air power in joint military operations.
