By Olamilekan FAWAS

The Seme Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), said it generated N2.86 billion revenue between January and June and made 620 seizures with Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N432.93 million.

The Customs Area Controller of Seme command, Comptroller Mohammed Aliyu, disclosed this on Monday in Lagos.

Aliyu said the revenue realised was a product of sustained compliance by stakeholders and commitment of the customs officers.

He said, in a statement, the feat was achieved despite the current low volume of importation through the border.
