Venezuelan authorities have seized the assets of Osman Tabosky, who was accused of financing the failed assassination attempt against President Nicolas Maduro, the country’s minister of the interior said.
During a news conference, Minister Nestor Reverol said Tabosky, who allegedly directed the operation from Miami, had two health clinics, a rehabilitation centre, commercial properties, a farm, apartments and phantom businesses set up “to commit terrorist acts,” which were all seized.
Reverol said Tabosky has an international arrest warrant and that Ryder Marques, Yilber Torrealba and Gregorio Monje were also being sought, along with others implicated in the crime.
So far, authorities have arrested seven people and more than 25 people are being investigated in connection with the failed assassination attempt that happened Saturday as Maduro was giving a military speech, according to Reverol.
“We will go to the bottom to find those involved in this act against the homeland and people.
“We will take all necessary action to ensure peace, which will always be our main victory,” the minister said.
