The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 31 ships to bring petroleum products, food and other goods from Sept. 25 to Oct. 4 at Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports.
This is contained in NPA’s daily publication tagged “Shipping Position’’ in Lagos.
Nine of the 31 ships will sail in with petrol.
The other 22 ships are carrying buckwheat, general cargo, bull sugar, bulk gypsum, frozen fish and containers carrying different goods.
According to the NPA, 10 ships have arrived the ports waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, buckwheat, container and petrol.
NAN also reports that six ships are expected to berth at River ports with petrol, bulk salt, container and frozen fish.
According to NPA, a total of 11 ships also expected to berth at Delta port (Warri) with crude oil, frozen fish, petrol, ceramic tiles, butane, diesel and bitumen.
The document indicated that eight ships were waiting to berth at Delta port with petrol, wheat, inballast and diesel.
