NAN, NTA on brink of new Multimedia era

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and the National Television Authority (NTA) are on the verge of a multimedia collaboration to strengthen journalism in the Country.

Managing Director of NAN, Mr Bayo Ononuga, during a courtesy visit to his counterpart, the Director General of NTA, Mallam Yakubu Ibn-Mohammed both agreed that such collaboration would enhance productivity.

Onanuga proposed that capacity building, production and technical support be included in the collaboration.

In his response, Mohammed said that the proposal was achievable and a welcome development.

“We are sister media agencies of government and we should be our brothers’ keeper.’’

Both organisations agreed to deploy their team of experts to fine tune modalities for the collaboration as soon as possible.
