MSME “One -Stop-Shop” for North East will address challenges of entrepreneurs – official

The National Micro,Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) secretariat said the Federal Government launched its  “One-Stop-Shop” for the North East to address challenges encountered by enteprenures in accessing federal government loans in the zone.

The Head of Monitoring and Evaluation, National MSME secretariat, Mr Shinna Agoi,stated this on Tuesday in Bauchi.

Agoi said that the ‘dispersed’ location of line parastatals distorted and frustrated  enterprenure’s effort in accessing loans.

“Due to experience gathered during Seminars,Trade Fairs and other interactions with enterprenures,the FG gathered that entrepreneurs were complaining over challenges encountered in the process of registration to enable them access loans.

“Federal Government therefore established the ‘One-Stop-Shop’ comprising all the agencies that entrepreneurs to carry out registration and access loans,” he said.

He said that the uniqueness of the idea was that registration and other processing would be conducted with a discount of 50 percent.

He called on entrepreneurs to make use of the opportunity by availing themselves of such interventions.

Under the new arrangement, there will be a clinic comprising of desk officers from Bank of Industry(BOI)
Standard Organization of Nigeria )SON),Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC),Federal Inland Revenue Services(FIRS),National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Nigeria Export Promotion Council, among others.
