By Giwa SHILE

The Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Mrs Bisi Fayemi has expressed worry over the shameless lifestyle of some Nigerians on social media platform such as Facebook, Instagram and others.

Fayemi said this at a programme tagged: “the Loud Whisper’’, organised by the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), in Ado-Ekiti.

She criticised the manner some youths were passionate about getting audience on social media about their private lives thereby exposing themselves to the world.

She stressed the need for Africans, especially Nigerians to protect and promote their good culture which came with self-esteem and respect for human dignity.

Fayemi decried a situation whereby some women and men exposed their private parts and home accessories on social media.

She said that western exposure should not remove Africans values and beliefs from the youths rather it should help to remodel the culture to be attractive to the international community.

She however noted that though everyone had his or her own life to live, adding, “every wrong lifestyle has its own consequence’’.

The programme was attended by the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, his wife, Margret Egbeyemi, Chief of Staff, Biodun Omoleye and many Nigerian Writers including Prof. Femi Osofisan.
