2019: Sanwo-Olu preaches peace, vigilance

By Aliyu DANLADI

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday called on Nigerians to shun violence and be vigilant as the nation prepares for the 2019 general elections.

Sanwo-Olu, at the ongoing five-day revival crusade of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement (TLCCRM) in Lagos, also called for improved security in the nation.

The theme for the crusade is “Hope for the Needy’’.

The APC candidate said: “Election is coming next year, everybody should go about their campaigning in a peaceful and orderly manner. Christmas is coming, let everybody pray and live in a healthy environment.

“Government is meant to create a safe environment for its citizens; everyone should ensure that they are their brother’s keeper.

“Let us do the little thing that we can in this festive period, let’s be watchful in our environment.

“We should report any strange movement around our vicinity to security agencies, let the leaders make an inclusive government.’’

Pastor Lazarus Muoka, General Overseer of TLCCRM, said there was hope for the nation and Nigeria would rise again in the comity of nations.

“The Lord will make all things work again in Nigeria. The challenges that we are facing will be a thing of the past.

“Because of his love and compassion, he will supply us with our needs; God is a prayer answering God,’’ he said.
