Fasehun was known for his contributions to the entrenchment of democratic ideals in the country.

”I am saddened by the passing of Dr Fasehun, especially at this period when our country is going through a process of rebirth and his wisdom and experience would be in need.

”Dr Fasehun spent a good part of his life in the service of his people and humanity while leaving legacies in patriotism and statesmanship.

“He was a courageous leader who stood his ground for equity, fairness and peace in a just society,” Daniel said.

Also on condolence visit was APC chieftain in Lagos, Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, who described the late Fasheun as a very peaceful individual.

”His death is very painful. Dr Fasehun was a gentleman to the core.

” He gave his life to the service of the Yoruba dynasty and the nation at large. We will miss him,” Solomon said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin,
President for Women Arise for Change Initiative described the late Fasheun as a great leader who spent major part of his life fighting for the oppressed.

Okei-Odumakin said: “I’m so shocked and it is extremely difficult to talk about Dr Fasheun for having known him for over two decades.

” He was a great nationalist, humble, unassuming, stickler to time, a great person.

”I can still remember the level of work we did during the era of Campaign for Democracy.

“We have lost a great leader, a livewire to the fight for human rights in Nigeria and Africa at large.

“He was a leader worthy to emulate, it is a pity we lost him at a time where patriots are highly needed to help guide us in the direction to go.
