Team Nigeria win 2 silver, 2 bronze medals at African Track Continental Championship

Team Nigeria at the ongoing African Track Continental Cycling Championship in South Africa have won two silver and two bronze medals as at Friday morning.

The championship holding at the Sax Young Cycling Track at Alexandra Park in the Pietermaritzburg area of KwaZulu-Natal region began on Thursday and will end on Saturday.

TBI Africa quoted the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, according to the competition’s website, Mary Samuel won two silver in the junior category from the Time Trial and Individual Time Trial events.

Tambrapa Grikpa won two bronze medals in the elite category in the Time Trial and Individual Time Trial events

The Championship is a qualifier for the 2019 World Cycling Championship and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The championship continued on Friday with competitions in the 200m sprint event.
