The President of Nigeria Entrepreneurs Forum (NEF), Dr Sidney Inegbedion, on Tuesday, said Germany had set aside 1 billion euro to serve as grant for African entrepreneurs to boost innovation on the continent.

Inegbedion, who made this known in Abuja during the meeting of project management and leadership training for entrepreneurs, said Nigeria would have the larger share of the grant.

The NEF president explained that the grant was one of the steps Germany planned to use to strengthen relations between the country and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said that NEF was a private sector driven organisation that enjoyed support from public sector establishments.

He noted that  “NEF is a platform for Nigerian business owners to interact, network and do business  for growth, prosperity to advance Nigeria’s economy.

“The major objective of the forum is to promote globalisation of member enterprises through sponsorship and serve as source for advocacy on issues that may affect enterprise growth and economic freedom.

“It is to create platform where enterprises can thrive through transparent, disciplined and equal opportunities, while achieving corporate goals.

“The forum should also create platform where members can share business experiences, innovative ideas and motivate each other for strength and growth.”

He said NEF promoted and propagated information that could enhance the growth and profitability of members ‘ organisation, where networking and synergy among members could propel economic growth and excellence.

Dr Ignatius Adeh, a business lawyer, advised project managers to take note of direction and destination of projects for successful completion.

He said: “project management process involves initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing. Two basic methods about project are the project’s life cycle and the management process.”
