28 ships carrying various products expected at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 28 ships with foods and other goods at the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports in Lagos from Aug. 6 to Aug. 20.

NPA, in its daily publication, ‘Shipping Position’, on Tuesday in Lagos, said one of the ships was sailing in with aviation fuel.

It said that the remaining 27 ships were carrying general cargo, fresh fish, bulk sugar, butane, bulk gypsum, bulk sugar,  frozen fish, buckwheat and containers of different goods.

NPA also said 15 ships had arrived in  the ports waiting to berth with containers, buckwheat, general cargo and petrol.

It said no fewer than 18 ships were currently discharging buckwheat, vehicles, general cargo, container, petrol, kerosene, frozen fish and bulk sugar.
