Eko Electric warns customers against illegal reconnection

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has warned customers within its operational network to desist from illegal reconnection of electricity.

Mr Godwin Idemudia, General Manager, Corporate Communications, gave the warning in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.

He said that a man arrested while illegally reconnecting EKEDC debtor-customers at Rockville Estate, Badore was recently arrested and facing trial in court.

“It was gathered that the estate’s security detained him before contacting Eko Disco who then informed the Police about the incident,” he said.

Idemudia commended Badore community for their help and encouraged other communities to emulate them.

He stated that the company and customers were both after the goals of improving power supply and 100 per cent customer satisfaction, hence cooperation was imperative in order to achieve the drive.
