Former President Jonathan Reacts To Bayelsa Violence

Following the violence which broke out after the Supreme court sacked David Lyon as governor of Bayelsa state and declared Douye Diri as the winner, former president Goodluck Jonathan has reacted.

Speaking via his official Twitter handle on Friday, the former president called on the citizens of the state to be law-abiding peaceful and embrace the transition in all sincerity.

He wrote:

“I call on all Bayelsans to be law-abiding, peaceful and embrace this transition in all sincerity and work together towards a united and prosperous State. Congratulations Your Excellency.”
