Lagos Correctional Service gets new controller

A new Controller for the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Lagos State command, Mr Sam Iyokorega, has assumed office.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, Supt. Rotimi Oladokun, made this known on Monday in Lagos.

The new controller took over from Mr Noel Aliwon, who was posted out of the state in December 2019.

Iyokorega, before his redeployment to Lagos, was the head of the Delta State command of NCoS.

President Muhammadu Buhari had, in 2019, changed the name of the organisation, which used to be known as Nigerian Prisons Service, to NCoS, after signing its amended Act into law.
