U.S. Elections: Bernie Sanders Talks Trump’s Defeat After Endorsing Former Rival Joe Biden

Former Democratic presidential hopeful, Bernie Sanders has endorsed his rival for the Democratic presidential ticket, Joe Biden and proposed unity of the party in order to defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential elections.

He disclosed this in a tweet on Monday.

“We must come together to defeat the most dangerous president in modern history,” he tweeted.

Sanders and Biden had emerged as the frontline candidates for the Democratic party’s presidential ticket until a series of victories in the primaries put Biden clearly ahead, forcing Sanders to withdraw from the race.

Sanders, while ending his presidential campaign, said he would keep fighting ideological battles with Trump till he is voted out of the White House.

He also urged all Americans to support Biden.

But Trump had mocked Sanders, saying that his party edged him out.

At the moment, the U.S. is facing hard times due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
