NPA expects 24 ships with petroleum products, food items

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 24 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are scheduled to arrive the TinCan Island Port from May 14 to May 30.

The NPA made this known in its publication, `Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available in Lagos on Thursday.

The publication indicated that the ships contain containers, vehicles, wheat pillet, bulk wheat, inballast, petrol and automobile gasoline.

NPA also said that 25 ships that had arrived the ports, were waiting to berth with containers, used vehicles, new vehicles, bulk wheat, general cargo, petrol and automobile gasoline.

It said that nine other ships at the ports were discharging containers, buk sugar, bulk wheat, and vehicles.

NPA said that 17 ships carrying petrol, automobile gasoline, container and used vehicles cancelled their voyage.
