NNPC, others planning N21bn hospitals in 12 states – Mamora

The National Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries have made available N21bn for the building of hospitals in 12 states across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

The Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, stated this at the inauguration of the Emergency and Infectious Disease Hospital in Maiduguri on Saturday.

Mamora said the hospital project across the 12 states was a  joint project between the NNPC and its partners, which N21bn was budgeted to construct in the six geopolitical zones of the country.

He said, “This project is going to create a kind of turnaround in the health care delivery system of this country. And we are very grateful to the NNPC and its partners for this.”

The State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, commended the NNPC, saying the  move would go a along way in reducing congestion in hospitals.
