OVH depot fire contained- DPR

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has confirmed that the unfortunate fire incident at OVH Energy farm tank in Lagos has been brought under control.
Mr Paul Osu Head, Public Affairs of the Agency in a statement on Saturday that  “from our preliminary reports,  all safety control measures to contain the fire which is restricted to one tank was swiftly activated  by the company and other stakeholders and all staff were safely evacuated from the facility.
“All other adjourning facilities have also activated their safety control measures to prevent spread to their facilities.
“Our operations team are fully on ground for ongoing investigations and we will continue to provide updates as to probable cause of the incident”, he added.
