The Lagos State Government has appointed Dr Oluremi Olaleye as the new rector of Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Ikorodu.
Mrs Yejide Omolase, Head, Public Affairs, Office to the Special Adviser on Education, Mr Tokunbo Wahab said this in a statement on Monday in Lagos.
Omalase said that Lagos Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, approved the appointment of Olaleye as the 11th rector of LASPOTECH.
“The appointment was sequel to an interview conducted by the institution’s Governing Council.
“His appointment is for five years single term and takes effect from Dec. 1 , 2020 at the expiration of the tenure of the Acting Rector, Mr. Olumide Olusola Metilelu.
“Prior to his appointment, Olaleye was a Chief Lecturer at the Polytechnic,” she said.
