There’s more hope for Nigerians if Tinubu succeeds Buhari — BAT Convener

The Convener of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) 2023 and Obasa Movement in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Hon. Dipo Olorunrinu, says there is more hope for Nigerian if the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Olorunrinu, former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Secretary, Lagos State Legislative Forum, said in a statement on Tuesday that Tinubu had love for the masses and experience to lead the nation to prosperity.

According to him, though Buhari’s administration has been doing its best in tackling the nation’s numerous challenges, Tinubu, if given the opportunity to succeed Buhari, will further put Nigeria and Nigerians on the path of happiness.

He said: “Tinubu is a leader who transforms nothing into something. He is selfless and caring, he has a lot of passion for the downtrodden and he has wiped away tears  out of eyes of many. He is a philanthropist per excellence.

“Tinubu is a politician who puts national interests above his personal interests, and will continue to do that if given the opportunity to lead Nigeria.

“Our hope and desire is to have a greater Nigeria. We want a leader that can take it up from where Buhari will stop in 2023 and that man is Tinubu. He loves the masses and share in their pains anv burdens.

“Nigeria needs a man that can change things for good, reposition the economy, drive social welfare and secure the country in 2023. We believe Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will do it and put happiness in the hearts of Nigerians.”

Olorunrinu said that Tinubu remained a builder and had mentored  a lot of leaders and lifted them up.

He urged Nigerians to support Tinubu to pilot the affairs of the nation, and take the nation to the promise land anytime he declares his intention openly to run for the President of Nigeria in 2023 polls.

The former lawmaker, who represented Amuwo-Odofin Constituency l at the 8th Lagos state House of Assembly said he had flagged off the BAT23 and The Obasa Movement for sensitisation ahead of the 2023 polls.

Olorunrinu said that Tinubu’s political and administrative dexterity was what Nigerians needed at this critical time.

He added that the state also needed the vision and wealth of experience of Mr Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos Assembly to facilitate more development into the state.

BAT-23 is a political support group for the actualisation of Tinubu’s Presidency, is being called upon to run for the 2023 Presidential seat while and the Obasa Movement is being rooted for the Lagos West Senatiorial District seat in 2023.

Olorunrinu said that he had inaugurated the two movement on Friday with the theme “breaking the shackles of poverty”.

“All we are asking and soliciting is that the duo of Asiwaju and Obasa should contest in the 2023 Presidential and Senatorial elections respectively because we strongly believe in their political and capacity, dexterity and achievements,” he added.

He said that all plans had been concluded to mobilise electorate including market men and women, artisans, student union, transport unions, religious and traditional leaders, the youths among others to drum support for the duo.
