MC Oluomo to police: fish out killers of NURTW chief

National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Council Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo) has appealed to Lagos State Police Command to fish out the person responsible for the death of Samuel Kayode, the Vice Chairman of the union in Amuwo.

  Kayode, a.k.a Epo Kinkin, was shot during a political rally at Satelite Town in Oriade Local Council Development Area. 

He was rushed to the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Navy Town, Ojo, where he was confirmed dead.

  Akinsanya said he learnt Kayode was trying to shield a politician from harassment before he was shot.

 He urged union members to be security-conscious and avoid mingling with on uncontrolled crowd.

 He sympathised with the family of the deceased and union members.

 An eyewitness said the crowd suddenly scampered for safety after hearing a gunshot.

 It brought to rally to an abrupt end.
