22 ships discharge petroleum products, other items at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Tuesday said 22 ships were discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, container, bulk sugar, frozen fish, bulk salt and soda ash in the Lagos ports.

According to a shipping position by the NPA, other items to be  discharged  are petrol, bulk urea and Aviation Turbine Kerosene.

It said it was expecting 18 others, laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Oct. 26 to Nov. 7.

The authority said the ships were expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It indicated that the ships contain general cargo, bulk sugar, container, base oil, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, bulk fertilizer, diplomatic and frozen fish.

Meanwhile, another five ships that had arrived the ports were waiting to berth, with general cargo, bulk wheat and frozen fish.
