Suspect shot as wardens foil prisoner’s escape at court

The Nigerian Correctional Service Armed Squad has shot a man at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS).

The Nation learnt that the man was shot in his leg while attempting to free an inmate on the court’s premises. He was part of persons suspected to be associates of the inmate brought to court for the hearing.

Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos State Command, CSC. OO Oladokun confirmed the incident.
