27 ships discharge petroleum products, other items at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Wednesday said 27 ships at the Lagos ports were discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, container, bulk sugar, frozen fish and bulk gypsum.

According to NPA shipping position report, other items for discharging at the port are petrol, base oil and bulk urea.

The authority said it was expecting 18 others laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Nov. 24 to Dec. 5.

NPA said the ships were expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It indicated that the ships also contained general cargo, bulk sugar, container, base oil, bulk wheat, bulk urea, petrol, ethanol and frozen fish.

The authority said another six ships had arrived at the ports waiting to berth with general cargo, bulk wheat, bulk sugar and bulk fertilizer.
