Ronchess Global Resources Plc yesterday notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the shareholders and the investing public of the appointment of three independent non-executive directors Mr Okafor Akalaka, Mrs Adebimpe Adeboye and Mr Leon Kelly.
This was approved at the Board of Directors Meeting of the Company held on Thursday 17th of March 2022 at Nordic Hotel, 258 Kofo Abayomi Street Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Okafor Akalaka is a practical and versatile Electrical Engineer with significant experience. He is currently the Executive Director, Operations at Powerhouse Electrical Services in Asaba, Delta State, where he spearheaded the successful redesign and conversion of Asaba streetlights from generator powered to public supply (transformer) powered sources.
Also, he headed the project budgeting and management and managed 15 projects with budget of over N500 million and ensured that the legal and technical requirements have been met.
He is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ronchess Global Resources Plc. Okafor Akalaka was once the Project Manager at SOD Prime Projects in Lagos State.
He (Okafor Akalaka) Graduated in 1996 with a B Eng. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State. He completed his Senior Secondary School in 1988 where he obtained his O’level certification (WAEC).
Adebimpe Adeboye is a product of the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, with a background in Economics – Social Sciences.
A multi-skilled leader and strong advocate for hands-on inquiry-based learning, her training and development as a result of functioning in various capacities within service-based industries equipped her with exemplary communication, interpersonal, brand management and commercial awareness skills necessary for successful business administration.
She currently serves as the CEO Valerie’s Signature Limited, and also sits on the board of Ronchess Global Resources Plc as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Leon Kelly is a lawyer with nearly twenty years of experience in New York City law firms, global investment banks and FinTech. He is currently a director at Genesis Global Trading, a global crypto prime broker, where he coordinates trading & derivatives, cross-border regulatory and other in-house matters. Previously he counseled trading and structuring businesses of U.S. broker-dealers and banks, including equity, interest rate, credit, foreign exchange, emerging markets and treasury department cash trading and derivatives desks. In this capacity he advised with respect to Dodd-Frank Title VII and other regulations of banks and broker-dealers, U.S. securities laws, tax rules, U.S. pension laws and CFTC/SEC/FINRA rules.
He has also represented institutions in industry initiatives such as Interbank Offered Rate (IBOR) reform chaired by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) rule changes, and margin and other rules implemented by ISDA (International Swaps and Derivatives Association) & EMTA (Trade Association for the Emerging Markets) to effect compliance with such regulations.
Other areas of expertise include securitization and structured finance, custody, lending, Merger & Acquisition, and general corporate matters. Mr. Kelly is a member of the New York State bar, holding a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and a B.A. from Boston College. Mr Kelly is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ronchess Global Resources Plc.
