PDP screens Atiku, Saraki, Anakwenze, Anyim for presidential ticket

The screening of presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is ongoing in Abuja.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; a United States based medical doctor, Nwachukwu Anakwenze; and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim have already been screened.

Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike is presently facing the screening panel.

Former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose; former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi; and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel are in an adjoining room waiting to take their turn.

Others are being expected to arrive at the venue.

Journalists are not allowed to observe the screening exercise as they are barred from accessing the venue.

Also, none of the aspirants was willing to speak with journalists before or after screening.

The 17 aspirants in the race are: Bukola Saraki, Aminu Tambuwal, Atiku Abubakar, Pius Anyim, Peter Obi, Sam Ohuabunwa, Dele Momodu, Nwachukwu Anakwenze, Udom Emmanuel, Nyesom Wike, Bala Mohammed, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, Ayo Fayose, Cosmos Ndukwe, Charles Ugwu, Chikwendu Kalu, Tariele Diana Oliver (female aspirant).
