19-year old man commits suicide over alleged rigged presidential election

A 19-year old man, whose name is still yet to be known, has reportedly committed suicide in Plateau State over alleged rigged presidential and national assembly elections held on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
The viral picture and suicide note of the deceased which has gone viral on social media, noted that the deceased had to take his own life when his candidate Peter Obi of the Labour Party was not announced as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The deceased in his suicide noted expressed hopelessness without Peter Obi as the president and decided to end it all as he saw the next four years to be extremely bleak for him and Nigeria.
The viral picture which shows the Obedient young man’s lifeless body dangling from a rope showed an accompanying caption which includes his suicide. It said: “SAD NEWS: I will tell God INEC killed me. Young boy from Plateau State commits suicide after Obi lost a rigged election.
“The 19-year old boy left a short note which reads: “No hope for Nigeria for the next 20 years after Obi lost the election. I rather end it now than live in a hell called Nigeria.”
“The small boy was part of the people that protested in the sun and rain to market Obi, but got disappointed by INEC that rigged the Election in the favor of Tinubu.”
INEC had proclaimed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the presidential election with Obi coming third after Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The majority of the teeming Nigerian youths were behind Peter Obi, which resulted in creation of the word “Obidients” for supporters of Obi, and an unprecedented number of first time voters in the history of Nigeria’s elections.
Therefore, the youths were disappointed and accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of rigging out Obi, their choice in a highly disputed electoral process.
