Samsung, a major player in Nigeria’s economy, in collaboration with Rifugio Communications Ltd, opened a Flagship Brand Store in Lekki, Lagos.

The outlet was opened last Friday, at Bannex Mall in Lekki, Lagos, to extend the services and products, including Samsung smart mobile phones, Samsung Televisions, Air conditioners, and Washing Machines and services to residents and businesses in the neighborhood and beyond.

Speaking at the event, Joy Tim – Ayoola,  Mobile eXperience Group Head, Samsung West Africa, said: “One key thing about the location is that, for the people or consumers that stay around this axis, there was never a place like this before today. So, we decided to look for a location to gives them opportunities where they can walk in to buy our products and have a range of after sales services.”

“We understand the economy of Nigeria, any customer that walks into the store can actually enjoy what we call Samsung flex pay. This scheme gives consumers the ability to buy Samsung devices and pay in installments. So, across our entire models, they can come and make a down payment of as low as N7,500 and work out the modalities for payment of the balance within three to twelve months.

Similarly, Dr. Kayode Thomas, founder, and Chairman, Rifugio Communications Ltd, whose company partners with Samsung, said: “This is the result of the efforts between Samsung and Rifugio Communications Ltd (a leading mobile retail and enterprise solutions company and Samsung’s long-term partner in Nigeria) to find a location suitable for a flagship brand store.

“The partnership with Samsung has brought employment because when we started in 2015, there was no store or outlet and no staff, but today, we have 14 outlets with over 100 people employed. The new Samsung Brand Store provides our customers with genuine Samsung products and accessories with warranty, along with repairs, trade-in and device insurance against damage, loss or theft. The services are also available online at sesnigeria.com”
