Abass appoints PUNCHman, 32 others as aides

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass, has appointed a Senior Correspondent with The PUNCH, Leke Baiyewu, and 32 others as senior aides.
Baiyewu’s appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker was contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the speaker, Musa Abdullahi.
The statement partly read: “The Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Ph.D has made some fresh appointments in his office for effective delivery of his legislative agenda for the 10th House of Representatives.”
Some of the appointees include Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration, Jamil Muhammed; Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative, Dunkwu Chamberlain; Special Adviser, Special Duties, Ahmed Safana; Special Adviser, Political Matters, Hamisu Ibrahim.
“The Speaker advised the new political appointees to discharge their duties in compliance with the new Schedule of Duties in the Office of the Speaker and utmost commitment to the implementation of the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House of Representatives. The Appointments take immediate effect.”
