Pere of BBNaija all stars opens up on relationship with Mercy Eke

Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, Pere Egbi, has opened up about his relationship with fellow reality TV star, Mercy Eke.
Pere, who addressed fans on Wednesday evening via X platform (formerly Twitter) following speculation that their relationship was over, categorically said he was not dating Mercy Eke.
“Dear shippers while I appreciate your efforts and care from inception, I would love to be clear on one thing I am not dating Mercy Eke. So please cease with the flowers mentioning her name. This is as concise as I can be,” he wrote.
It would be recalled that in October 2023, Pere stated that Mercy’s dedication to God played a pivotal role in forging a connection between both them.
While explaining his attraction to Mercy Eke in a recent interview, he stated that he observed Mercy always read her Bible while they were in Biggie’s House and this left a lasting impression on him
“On her bed was a small bible; that night, I took a peak in the blue room and she was reading the bible. When you see Mercy, you won’t think she’s the type of person who is that spiritual with God. And every time, you see her praying every day,” he had said.
Pere and Mercy Eke found solace in each other towards the end of the All-Stars edition of the Big Brother reality TV show and he had described his relationship with her as “genuine authentic friendship that could lead anywhere.”
