The Turkish Football Federation on Tuesday announced that Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel and two other Fenerbache players have been summoned to appear before its disciplinary committee.
Osayi-Samuel and his teammates were involved in a fight with Trabzonspor fans who invaded the pitch after their team lost at home 3-2 to Fenerbache.
Super Sports reports that Osayi-Samuel and the two teammates could face a lengthy ban as much as 10 matches, according to the rules and regulations of the Turkish FA.
In the meantime, the Fenerbache will hold an extraordinary board meeting on Wednesday to decide on measures thrown up by the violence from that game.
It has been reported that the measures could include the Istanbul giants pulling out of the league.
Osayi-Samuel was in action for the Super Eagles in last month’s international friendly games against Ghana and Mali.
He also helped the Eagles reach the final of the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire where they finished second.
