GWR: One-year-old Ghanaian Ace Liam becomes world’s youngest artist

One-year-old Ghanaian Ace Liam has set a new Guinness world record to become the Youngest Male Artist five months after attempting the record.
Liam who started painting when he was six months old, according to his mother, Chantelle Eghan, attempted the Guinness World Records in Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024.
According to Eghan, Liam applied to attempt the record around when Nigerian chef Hilda Baci broke the longest cooking record.

The announcement was made at a press conference on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
The confirmation letter received by Ace Liam’s family stated, “We are thrilled to inform you that your application for Youngest artist (male) has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder!”
Ace Liam’s mother, Chantelle Eghan, expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their support during her son’s record attempt. Little Liam began painting at the tender age of six months.
The previous record holder, Dante Lamb, achieved the feat at the age of three in 2003.
In a video shared on social media, 25-year-old mother Chantelle Eghan praised her son, Ace Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, for achieving such an enviable feat at such a young age.
She celebrated her son for making history as the youngest male artist in the world.
“This remarkable achievable solidifies Ace Liam’s place in history and underscores his talent at a tender age. Born with an innate passion for creativity, Ace Liam has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique artistic impression. His talent knows no bounds, the confirmation of Ace Liam’s Guinness World Record attempt serves as a testament to his exceptional abilities and serves as an inspiration to all aspiring ages,” she said.
As a single mother, Chantelle Eghan also confessed that at one point, she was confused about whether to pay for an expedited review of her son’s record attempt or wait patiently for the results.
Despite her confusion, she expressed optimism that her son’s record will inspire others to take on similar challenges.
“As Ace Liam’s mother, permit me to extend my heartfelt congratulations to my amazing champ and heroic feat. Nana, we made it,” she said with a smile.
