CICAN loses member Johnmark Ukoko

he Executive and members of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria, CICAN, wish to announce the sudden demise of Mr Johnmark Ukoko, who passed on to glory on Monday 13th, May, 2024.
Until his death, late Johnmark Ukoko, a staff of National News, was the Coordinator/Chief of Staff to the National Chairman of the Association, Mr. Charles Okonji
Late Johnmark Ukoko was a member of the association for more than two decades, held various positions, and regarded as one of the most productive and vibrant members who dedicated his life to the service to the Association.
The history of the successful reporting recorded in the commerce and industry sector in the country today will not be complete without mentioning his positive contributions.
In a press statement issued by the National Chairman of the association, Mr Charles Okonji described the deceased as a workaholic who was passionate about the growth of the association and the industry at large.
Mr Okonji noted that late Mr Johnmark Ukoko, through his write-ups, has contributed immensely to the agenda setting for the development of commerce and industry sector of the country’s economy.
While condoling the family of the deceased, the National Chairman described his death as sudden, noting that the vacuum left behind by the deceased would be felt for a longer period.
He however, stated, that the association is working with his family towards giving him a befitting burial as the date of the burial would be communicated soonest to the public.
