Tinubu mourns Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.
The deceased was a renowned businessman and politician.
He was the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

Tinubu in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale commiserated with the friends and colleagues of the late Senator, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Anambra State over this sad loss.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family.
The Anambra federal lawmaker died in London on Saturday, two days after his health conditions reportedly worsened in the United Kingdom where he had been taken over health concerns.
The cause of Senator Ubah’s death is not clear as at the time of filing this report.
Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) and reelected on the same platform in 2023 elections.
He defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier this year and has indicated interest in seeking the governorship seat of Anambra State in 2025 election.
It would be recalled that Ubah contested the 2021 Anambra State governorship election and came fourth in a contest won by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APG) APGA.
