Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA embarks on Sen.Oluremi Tinubu 30-bed space PHC

The Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Tuesday performed a groundbreaking for the construction of Senator Oluremi Tinubu 30-bed space Primary Healthcare Centre in Lagos.

The Chairman of the council, Mr Fuad Atanda-Lawal, expressed the council’s commitment to building a primary healthcare facility for residents of the community.

Atanda-Lawal said the council had been committing its strength and resources to touching lives and ensuring that no one in the LCDA was left behind.

“Today is groundbreaking of our primary health care centre, a 30-bed space to take care of residents of the Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA.

“It is not just about building a facility, but about a functional facility with qualified doctors and people that will continue to deliver quality medical care to our people.

“That is what we are doing here today, “ the council boss said.

The chairman said that construction of the facility would begin immediately and expected to be completed within the next four months.

He, however, called on the community to support the council and allow the workers on site do what they are supposed to do, in order to deliver within the time marked for completion.

“Once we leave the site, the workers will commence work and we are very happy for this; so, in terms of the money or anything, we have earmarked funds for this project.

“We have said four months without hindrance and all of our programmes have been cut in, so we should be able to finish in four months; trust me, it is just a story building and we must deliver.

“We got an approval for this in 2023 but we could not move to site because of the land issues.

“Now that everything is almost behind us and we are saying that we must do this, we must give back to our people, “ Atanda-Lawal said.

The event was witnessed by council officials, community and party leaders among others.
